Seri Botani International School Offers a Holistic Education For Life

Seri Botani International School (SBIS), located in Bandar Seri Botani, Ipoh, is an educational arm under the prestigious TAIKO Group of Companies.  The 10-acre campus began operations in January 2020 with its first intake of 85 students. We are committed to maintaining a high standard of international education to meet the needs of local and expatriate communities in Malaysia.

Our vision, “A Holistic Education for Life”, governs our actions and policies that cater to our students’ needs. SBIS offers the internationally recognised Cambridge International Programmes for Early Years, Primary and Secondary levels. These are: 

• Early Years (Nursery and Reception)
• Key Stage 1 & 2 (Year 1 to Year 6)
• Key Stage 3 (Year 7 to Year 9)
• Key Stage 4 (Year 10 & Year 11)

What sets us apart is the delivery of an international curriculum and approaches complemented by our Asian culture. All our teachers undergo a Cambridge course for the subject(s) they teach. Most of our teachers have also completed the Google Certified Teacher training. In this digital age with online learning forced upon us by the pandemic, we are proud to have a staff of teachers who are adept at conducting online lessons with their repertoire of online apps which they have acquired through several sessions of training. 

Our teaching methodology focuses on engaging students and providing them with ample opportunities to hone their speaking and presentation skills, thus producing confident and reflective learners. 

Our Mandarin department headed by Dr Wong Wah Yin offers the Chinese language (Foreign Language, First Language and Second Language) as well as the HSK ( Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi ) examination. We are also proud that our Advanced level Chinese is on par with UEC standards. 

Another aspect that sets us apart lies in character-building which is of utmost importance to us and the school is committed to nurturing noble values such as perseverance and respect among students.

The many state-of-the-art facilities include a 25-meter swimming pool, tennis courts, futsal courts, a covered basketball court and a spacious modern cafeteria. A unique feature of SBIS is the teaching of living skills such as sewing, cooking and woodcraft.  For this purpose, we have a Sewing Room, a Culinary Room and a Wood & Craft room.

SBIS is the only international school in Ipoh to have a purpose-built Boarding House on its campus that can accommodate 86 students.

Like the main block, the Boarding House is CCTV-monitored with 24-hour guarded security and features fully furnished bedrooms, a gym, laundry room, TV room and a study.
