SIS is the only international school in Malaysia to offer the renowned Canadian School Curriculum leading to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, a globally recognized qualification for admission to universities.

The Canadian curriculum is student-centred, performance-driven and focused on students' continuous development. Formative assessments that evaluate students’ achievements are based on the 70% course work and 30% final exams split. 

At SIS, all Canadian credit courses are taught by certified Canadian educators licensed by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT). This credential distinguishes SIS teachers as professionals whose teaching practices are guided and informed by internationally benchmarked standards and practices.

SIS has been granted the International Baccalaureate World School status and to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). Grade 10 SIS students can either continue with the Canadian curriculum and graduate with the Ontario Secondary School Diploma or pursue the IBDP which is one of the most widely recognised qualifications for admission into the world’s top tiered universities. ESL/ESOL Programmes

Depending on the student's English proficiency, the level of English as a Second Language (ESL) support will vary. There are multiple levels of ESL, where ongoing ESL support is provided concurrently with academic courses for learners in Grades 9 to 11

SIS has a dedicated Guidance & Career Centre with skilled counsellors who assist students in a wide range of services including career exploration, academic counselling, post-secondary information, community service information, and personal/social counselling

Scholarships

Name of scholarship: Academic Scholarship, Music Scholarship, Sports Scholarship

Level: Academic – Only for Grade 7 entrance, Music & Sports - at any level, IBDP – only for IBDP Entrance

Value: 25% Tuition Fee (for other scholarship), Up to 100% scholarship of tuition fee (IBDP Scholarship)

Application deadline: 1^st June or 1^st December every year, depending on intake.
