Alor Gajah is one of the main districts in Melaka (previously known as Malacca). To get to Alor Gajah, you would need to take a train and bus, and it takes almost three hours. First, you need to take the KTM from KL Sentral to Bandar Tasik Selatan. Then, you can hop on a bus from Kuala Lumpur Terminal Bersepadu Selatan to Alor Gajah. On weekends, there are many activities that you can do. The A’Famosa Resort would be one of the best places to visit while you are at Alor Gajah. The resort consists of a water theme park, animal safari, and lodging. Besides that, there is a golf course within a five-minute walk. However, if you do not mind travelling a little further, you can check out the Melaka Zoo, which is about a 30-minute drive from Alor Gajah. The zoo is located near a forestland area and it is a must visit zoo in Malaysia. Of course, you would also have the option of driving to Melaka City, the capital city of Melaka, for more variety such as sight seeing at historical sites, trying local delicacies, or shopping.
