International Schools in Kuala Lumpur

There are many international schools in Malaysia especially in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. As location is an important consideration for parents, we have listed all the schools in Kuala Lumpur here in alphabetical order. As of 6 April 2021, there are 29 international schools in Kuala Lumpur according to SMIPS (https://smips.moe.gov.my/).

1. Alice Smith School

The primary school campus is located in Bukit Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, while the secondary school campus is in Seri Kembangan. The Alice Smith School was established in 1946. The school offers the British curriculum for preschool to pre-university level. Students sit for the IGCSE and A Level examinations. 

2. Alnoor International Schools

In 2007, Alnoor International School was established in Bukit Petaling, Kuala Lumpur. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum for preschool to pre-university level. The IGCSE and A Level examinations are offered to students. 

3. Aspiration International Secondary School

Situated in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur, Aspiration International Secondary School was established in 2019. The school offers the British curriculum for secondary level. Students sit for the IGCSE examination. 

4. Brighton International School

Brighton International School started its operation in 2018. The school located in Setiawangsa, Kuala Lumpur, offers the Cambridge curriculum for preschool to pre-university level. The school offers the A Level examination.     

5. Campus Ranger International School

Campus Ranger International School was established in 2012. Situated in Taman Overseas Union, Kuala Lumpur, the school offers the Cambridge curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum for preschool to pre-university level. Campus Ranger International School offers the IGCSE examination.  

6. Cempaka International School Damansara Heights

Located in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur, Cempaka International School was established in 1983. The school offers the Early Years, Cambridge and the International Primary Curriculum for preschool to secondary level. Students sit for the IGCSE and A Level examinations. 

7. Cranbridge International School

Cranbridge International School was established in 2021. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum for primary to pre-university level. The school is situated in Jalan Chan Sow Lin, Kuala Lumpur and they offer the IGCSE and A Level examinations. 

8. Etonhouse Malaysia International School

In 2010, Etonhouse Malaysia International School began operations at Persiaran Stonor, Kuala Lumpur. The school offers Reggio Emilia-inspired and IB Primary Years Programme for preschool to primary level. 

9. Fairview International School

Situated in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, the Fairview International School was established in 1978. The school offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme for primary to secondary level students.

10. Garden International School

Garden International School started operating in 1951. The school offers the British curriculum for preschool to secondary level. The school is located at Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur and students sit for the IGCSE and A Level examinations. 

11. Global Indian International School

Global Indian International School, established in 2006, offers the Central Board of Secondary Education, Montessori and Cambridge curriculum for preschool to secondary level. The school can be found in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.

12. Havil International School

In 2012, the Havil International School was established. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum for preschool to secondary level. Situated in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, the school offers the IGCSE examination. 

13. Hibiscus International School

Located in Taman Sri Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, the Hibiscus International School offers the British and Cambridge curriculum for preschool to pre-university level. The school started its operation in 2012 and they offer the IGCSE examination to students.

14. Mont’Kiara International School

Mont’Kiara International School, situated in Mont’Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, was established in 1994. The school offers the American curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for preschool, primary, secondary and pre-university level.  

15. Primrose International School Kuala Lumpur

Situated in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, the Primrose International School offers the Cambridge curriculum for preschool to primary level. 

16. Sayfol International School

Sayfol International School was established in 1985 in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. The school offers the British curriculum for preschool to pre-university level and students have the option of taking the IGCSE or the International Advanced Level examinations. 

17. Sri Dasmesh International School

Sri Dasmesh International School was established in Jalan Pantai Baharu, Kuala Lumpur around 2001. The school offers the British curriculum for primary and secondary levels and students sit for the IGCSE examination. 

18. Sri Desa International Secondary School

Sri Desa International School started in 2016. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum for secondary level only. Students who go to this school situated in Taman Desa, Kuala Lumpur, sit for the IGCSE examination.

19. Sri Sempurna International School

Sri Sempurna International School was established in 1993. The location of the school is in Taman Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, and they offer the Cambridge curriculum for primary and secondary levels. Students sit for the IGCSE examination at the school. 

20. St. John’s International Primary and Secondary School

Both St. John’s International primary and secondary schools are located at Jalan Bukit Nanas, Kuala Lumpur, and the school started in 2010. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum for preschool to pre-university level and students sit for the IGCSE and A Level examinations. 

21. Stella Maris International School

Stella Maris International School, established in 2017, can be found in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur. The school offers the Cambridge based curriculum and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for primary to pre-university level students. The school provides the opportunity for students to sit for the IGCSE, IBDP and CAIE A Level examinations.

22. Taylor’s International School

Taylor’s International School was established in 1991 in Taman Maluri, Kuala Lumpur. The school offers the International Early Years, International Primary and British curriculum for preschool to secondary level. Students take the IGCSE examination.

23. The International School of Kuala Lumpur

The International School of Kuala Lumpur started its operation in 1965 in Ampang Hilir, Kuala Lumpur. The school offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, Advanced Placement and the North-American based curriculum for preschool to pre-uinversity level students. 

24. The International School @ ParkCity

The International School @ ParkCity, located in Desa ParkCity, Kuala Lumpur, was established in the year 2011. This international school offers the International Primary and British curriculum for preschool to secondary level. The school provides the opportunity for students to take the IGCSE, AQA Baccalaureate and A Level examinations. 

25. Tree Top International School

Tree Top International School first started in 2016. The school situated in Taman Sri Segambut, Kuala Lumpur, offers the Montessori approach and unique secondary curriculum for preschool to secondary level. The students here take the IGCSE examination. 

26. Tzu Chi International School

Tzu Chi International School was established last year, in 2020. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum in conjunction with the Tzu Chi humanistic lessons for preschool to secondary level. This school is situated in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, and offers the IGCSE examination. 

27. Utama International Schools

Utama International School can be found in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. It was established in 1994. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum for preschool to secondary level students. 

28. Vikas International School

Vikas International School first opened their doors to students in 1996. The school, offers the Central Board of Secondary Education - New Delhi curriculum for preschool to secondary level and the school is situated in Jalan Klang Lama, Kuala Lumpur.

29. Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International)

Wesley Methodist School Kuala Lumpur (International) is located in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur. The school offers the Cambridge curriculum for secondary level only. Students take the IGCSE examination.
